Seasonal Embodiment: Samhain
Seasonal Embodiment is a collaborative offering between myself and Nina Smock to invite you to mark the celestial calendar with resonance and intention. Every six(ish) weeks for the next solar year we will hold a 2 hour, in-depth practice to explore the energies of the season and what they are asking of us. We’ll explore the traditional celebrations and practices around the seasonal change and offer ways to embrace the cyclical nature of the natural world. Then, we’ll have a deeply nutritive restorative yoga practice and sound bath healing, allowing us to embody the qualities of that season. We’ll close with a tea ceremony featuring an organic and wild harvested herbal blend crafted to support ourselves in the specific season, as we take our learning and our intentions out into the world. (You’ll get to bring 1/2 oz. of the blend home with you as well to enjoy throughout the season!)
We will gather from 3:30-5:30pm on Sundays at The Yoga Studio, 306 W. Water Street, Decorah, IA.
Please know- spaces for this offering are very limited because we want to be able to engage in a deeply caring and personal way. If you feel a resonance with this class, RSVP at wellness@mikahmae.com to hold your spot.

New Moon Restorative Yoga and Sound Bath
The New Moon is a potent time for dreaming, looking forward, and manifesting for the coming lunar cycle. From within the darkness, the stillness, and the quiet we are invited to turn inward and meet ourselves with presence. But living within our busy, modern lives we often find ourselves disconnected from the natural lunar rhythms.
Join Mikah Jaschke and Nina Smock for a dreamy 75 minute Restorative Yoga and Healing Sound Bath practice. On Friday, July 14th we will gather together from 6-7:15 pm with intention and offer an invitation for deep self care.
Spaces are limited, register to reserve your spot!
Restorative Yoga is a balm for our hearts, minds, and souls in a world filled with worries and busyness. In a restorative practice we move slowly, holding poses for several minutes, helping to shift our bodies into the parasympathetic nervous system- the rest, digest, restore, and renew part of our beings.
A restorative practice has the ability to change us at a profound and subtle level, quieting the mind and unraveling tension held deeply in the body. We will utilize a variety of props (all provided at the location) to fully support our bodies as we relax and unwind.

Kindle: a Mother and Daughter Workshop
Kindle: to give birth to, bring forth: To light up, illuminate.
Kindle is a collaboration between myself and Nina Smock that invites mothers and daughters into a space of curiosity, creativity, and connection. With gentle guidance we will move through a variety of playful practices that will spark a sense of presence and belonging by settling the nervous system and engaging the heart, mind, and hands. We’ll explore easy partner yoga poses as well as restorative yoga, receive sound bath magic and learn to offer it to each other (yes, you’ll get to play the bowls!), create ephemeral mandalas together, and enjoy a tea ceremony and snacks. Everyone will get to take a package of organic and wild harvested herbal tea home with them as well… a special blend just for this workshop!
This workshop is designed for children who are old enough to engage in a variety of practices for two hours, who are able to remain present and preserve the intentional nature of the space. We’ve envisioned children ages 10 and up, but you know your kiddo best! Feel free to reach out with questions around this, we are happy to offer more specific guidance. (Also, if you have more than one child who might want to come with you, please let us know about that as well.)
Kindle will take place on Saturday May 14th from 10am to 12pm at The Yoga Studio in Decorah. The cost is a sliding scale of $50-$80 per pair. Space for this workshop are very limited to allow for plenty of time to engage with each of the practices we want to offer, so please email me at wellness@mikahmae.com to reserve your space.
Please note: for this event we are using the language of mother and daughter because that is the nature of the relationship that we (Mikah and Nina) have the personal experience of in our lives. We welcome anyone who self identifies as a mother or a daughter into this workshop with open arms.
Feel free to reach out with any questions or curiosities!

Restorative Yoga
Restorative Yoga is a balm for our hearts, minds, and souls in a world filled with worries and busyness. In a restorative practice we move slowly, holding poses for several minutes, helping to shift our bodies into the parasympathetic nervous system- the rest, digest, restore, and renew part of our beings.
A restorative practice has the ability to change us at a profound and subtle level, quieting the mind and unraveling tension held deeply in the body. We will utilize a variety of props (all provided at the location) to fully support our bodies as we relax and unwind.
We will meet IN PERSON at The Yoga Studio (306 W. Water St. Decorah, IA)
Sliding Scale: $12-$20
Spaces are limited, please RSVP to wellness@mikahmae.com to hold your spot.
